RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adopting the annual budget.
- Developing and implementing, planning and zoning policies.
- Making appointments to advisory committees and boards.
- Adopting all county ordinances.
- Listen and act on citizen concerns when within the council purview.
IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNITY
Community is important! Having a safe, affordable place to live and thrive adds to our quality of life.
While living in Clark County I’ve experienced the genuine caring from most people I’ve encountered. They care about others and where Clark County is headed.
The historical aspect of our county matters to me. Not wiping out the history of the pioneers who settled in the 650 + square miles is important for future generations. Keeping focused and not losing sight of the things that make us unique is essential.
Community, caring and learning from our past mistakes and the misses of other cities can push us ahead. We can improve quality of life for citizens by keeping housing affordable, and keeping property taxes realistic.
I realize citizens want and need to feel secure in and outside their homes and also while playing here in the Pacific Northwest. It is the duty of the leadership of this county to provide safe abiding.
It takes all of us united to have the community we deserve.

SHANNON'S WORKING HARD FOR A BETTER FUTURE FOR OUR CLARK COUNTY COMMUNITIES
- Fully fund and back law enforcement and emergency services to be able to protect and keep citizens safe.
- Vote NO on any new taxes and NO increase on current taxes.
- Uphold parental rights to provide what’s best and morally right for their children.
- Look for ways to help people from being homeless before it happens instead of spending millions after the fact. It’s unrealistic and an unending burden to taxpayers.
- Look for ways to lift the burden of citizens through this period of inflation. One way is to have a tax free shopping weekend before school starts and before the holidays.
- I seek to unite instead of tear apart. Not everyone will agree on decisions but we can treat each other honorably and respectfully.
